Bonny Doon - Vin de Glaciere This is another fine dessert wine. It's a takeoff on a German Eiswien (Ice Wine), but instead of leaving the raisins to freeze on the vines, then crushing them; they use what is in California known as a "freezer" to concentrate the sugars and flavors into the juice. Yumm yumm. If you like the Joseph Phelps late harvest Jo-berg you'll probably enjoy this one as well. I also like the Penfolds Australian botrytis semillon. The '86 was especially good. Imagine a fairly good sauterne for about $7.... -z
