Albert, I disagree with the statement CAP is dead. I've had talks with several companies making ADSL equipment that are line-code nuetral, and could not care less whether DMT or CAP wins, because their product will support both. Almost all state that they feel CAP will win at the beginning. According to them, DMT is still too costly, has not been delivered from sources effectively, and has heat problems. They feel CAP will be deployed first as it is more cost effective and has less problems. This is not my opinion, but the opinion of people actively involved in promoting and selling ADSL products. I've heard this from too many line-code independent vendors in the ADSL field to not believe there is a grain of truth here.
