My people have never lynched blacks persecuted jews and others in the name of christianity like your people have.
Come on, now, fight clean. It seems like this the "my people didn't do this and your people did that" rethoric lowers you to the level of racial/religious prejudice/persecution which I hope you deplore. Do YOU want be judged by what some of "your" people may have done in the past? Are you sure there aren't any slaveholders in your past? (Keep in mind that ancient Greeks, Turks, Africans, Moslems, etc., etc. etc. were slaveholders long before we imported the practice to this country.) No cannibals, no torturers (no American Indian blood?), no rapists, no pillagers in your history?
Most of us have some "your people" in our backgrounds whose ethics we don't share. It's judging people by these external, racial or social or religious, factors which is the root of most hatred in this poor old world.
Let's try to overcome that here, not perpetuate it.
Attack Frank all you want for what he says. But can't you avoid attacking him for things people you claim are "his" people may or may not have done in the past? |
