I think part of what Buffett means is, he doesn't want to Invest in, let's say, ZOOM (modems) because somebody else already has something either on the drawing board, or coming out, that is better or cheaper. Tell me this: Who makes the best Video card (THIS week.....). Can anybody explain SYQT and IOMEGA falling on their collective faces ?? Western Digital USED to be the H/D leader, but not anymore.... I have always thought of MSFT is a monopoly never to be toppled, simply because of their 'Office' Products, but a lot of people i know are really digging into LINUX stuff........ The only thing that is a kinda 'sure thing' (whatever that may be defined as) is INTC, as AMD is slipping back to the low 20's.......
