CTV-Television News covered a short piece on the Canadian Internet E-Commerce late last evening. I was surprised to learn only 6% of Canadians have ever purchased anything on-line. I thought that was quite low but it is picking up speed in Canada, and this business can only move in one direction and that is UP-UP-UP. Take for example CNBC-TV in the USA, I would say in their business programs, 30% of the time is in discussion on the Internet, including lots of E-Commerce TV commercials. Business programs on Canadian television might include 3% Internet content??. Unless you're turned in to the American Business Channels, Canadians aren't getting the exposure. I guess this is why we lag behind the USA a year or two but the potential for Canada is awesome.
