AML Communications Inc. receives contract for new Low Earth Orbit network market
CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 1997-- AML Communications Inc Thursday announced it has secured a contract valued at approximately $700,000 for high linearity amplifiers to service the emerging Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite telecommunications network market.
The contract includes a two-week option for the customer to increase the order, if exercised, by an additional $600,000 aggregating to a total contract value of $1.3 million. Delivery of the order is expected to occur in the company's first quarter of fiscal year 1998.
The LEO satellite network is designed to provide high-speed digital communication through Earth gateways worldwide.
