It looks like a seller may be finished. I spoke with someone who has been tracking the source of selling via market makers and believes a consistent seller has finished as of yesterday afternoon. If so, we should be in an uptrend. Let's see what the day brings! With all the energy being spent by the naysayers, maybe some big players are worried about covering short positions or don't want the price up for other reasons. I agree they wouldn't spend so much energy countering positive thoughts around Christmas unless there was a lot at stake for them.
