Roebear, I am forced to be up at 4:00 a.m. to get my new computer registrations, etc., going and get some think time on SI for a change. Ah....as to my feelings on what's going on. I have erased all of my thoughts on this matter now for nearly 4 months. Most of it erased--so you can imagine, seeing what is left. But as for your observation on the actual timing of where we are right now, it's very interesting. So exact split second timetables of history are even more absurd, and impossible to predict as we know and were told in scripture anyway to just forget it.
The current expert in that field might be Jack Van Impe. Very, very smart man. He fully believes to the other extreme, that the world is off by at least 6 years or so, and therefore nothing of Revelations can be totally complete BEFORE about 2006, or something. His views are very interesting, and opens a new door, not new to scripture, but new to hanging on what is happening and trying to figure out how much longer our skins are safe.
Since we are at the end of l998, all seems to be wonderful and the Dow continues to peak, giving all humans on earth a sense of wonderful well-being akin to l956 or so, Van Impe's theory might hold weight.
I think sometimes people would have a picture of a bent over woman with a black cloud over her head, constantly staring around with a frightened frown.
AU CONTRAIRE!!!!! Actually it quite ironic. I seem to be handling reality very, very well.
Now, again, at all times in all lives people have been on the brink of despair, and the end time prophecies most certainly apply to all lives at all time, as at all times in history people have faced total oblivion and destruction, except us. But how wonderful it is that the same scriptures of the utter End applied to each of those people, nd that is probably why history records over and over and over that "their death inspired many".
Personally, I do continue, and am daily re-enforced, to believe the Earth is at this moment a huge Titanic, but the ship has not yet seen the iceberg, and apparently everyone is happily at full party mode, since the DOW has recently re-peaked.
And that's about all I should have to say on that.
