1. I did see Eat, Drink, Man, Woman. I really liked it. But Janice should certainly see this one. It was probably not as depressing as other Chinese movies because it was made in Taiwan. They're not as depressed as the Chinese intelligencia.

2. I did see and like Gallipoli. But also very depressing.

3. One of my other favorite recents is Zentropo. I thought it was superb but my wife didn't like it too much.
