The fighting in Angola is not good but I am encouraged by a number of statements made in the email I received by DMW. 1) The fighting is not near the mines at all. <<<I do not believe that the recent escalation in fighting in Angola will have a direct impact on our plans to restart operations at Yetwene, mainly because the fighting is concentrated in the rebel stronghold in the central highlands, hundreds of kilometres away from our mines>>> 2) The fighting seems somewhat anticipated and appears to be a direct effort by the ruling government to deal with the Unita rebels. <<<The current fighting appears to be a long-anticipated offensive by the FAA to try and force UNITA to honour the conditions of the 1994 Lusaka accord.>>> In any event, I prefer to be buying now in anticipation of events when the price is much lower. When the mine re-opens and/or the fighting stops, the price will already be MUCH higher! Regards, Kevin
