Simply put, in a market where share prices are increasing rapidly, the big boys figure there remains lots of time to buy Qualcomm--meanwhile a lot of money can be made elsewhere. A good sign for this coming year is that, although Qcom was on several brokers' recommended lists for 1998, it seems to be on more lists for 1999. And, thus more folks on the street think Qcom's time is about to come for some major price appreciation.
