The breath of life....internets go thru profit taking and L&H up $2?

Some thoughts:

The SEC decision on in process R&D write-offs has been over hanging the stock. It is probably fully discounted.

End of year tax loss selling has depressed the stock.

Slow sales of software from L&H, Dragon and IBM, has taken the bloom off the excitement surrounding speech technology.

Momentum players are looking at .Com plays only

The above issues have created a depressed stock price, which in my opinion creates an opportunity for both traders and long term investors.

Some of the positive catalysts:

As I write this, the internet bubble appears to be bursting. The hot money will look for another place to play.

As pressure from tax loss selling abates, the stock should rise on light demmand volume. Today's $2 move may be the beginning of the bounce.

The SEC will soon finalize their ruling on the accounting issues discussed above. That may provide a positive surprise, especially if the market has discounted the worst. Of course, it can be worse than the market expected and the stock could drop once again.

Dragon Systems is comming public. The competitor of L&H may cause a stir around the technology, and if the Dragon IPO is well recieved, L&H may ride the Dragon's tail....

Long once again,

Goolie2
