Time to jump on McDonalds. McDonalds to sell burgers over the internet.

Busynesswire, Dec. 30, 1998, 1:09pm. McDonalds Corporation (NYSE: MCD - news) announced today that they are entering the e-commerce age with the introduction of their new web site: ecoli.com.

R.J Milano, Vice President McDonalds Marketing commented: "We have sold billions and billions of hamburgers through our restaurants. We are confident that we can sell billions and billions more through the internet".

The web site will allow customers to select from the familar McDonalds menu of items and pay using credit card information. Orders will automatically be transmitted to the nearest McDonalds location, where the burger will be assembled and delivered to the customers' doorstep as cold as if it had been purchased at the restaurant. All orders will also be delivered with one packet of ketchup.

Certain information included in this press release contains statements that are backward-looking and totally made up. Do not take anything in this release seriously.
