Ross, I agree, I could have afforded that deal, makes me suspicious in a way. the low amount to earn 50% coupled with the tiny down payment make me suspect that the Explore Tech group has another angle in mind, namely to get to an impasse at 50% each?
The other way to look at it is to see what they find and then never let their % go below 50%. Remember MAD is shy of cash and may wish to keep what they have to explore in Mexico.
In addition there are many lean deals now that gold is down.
