Regarding John McCain, Ive come to the conclusion that unless a candidate comes out strongly on the side of pro-choice they will lose both coasts miserably. Abortion was always a divisive issue but I think this impeachment mess has caused a lot of swing voters to basically look at a candidates stance on abortion and if he is pro-life, lump him in with the RR zealots, as a sort of extremism "litmus test". I think thats what happened to Lungren in California in November. He was defeated, miserably- it was a terrible upset no one predicted.
