No "you" can not short this stock, TLTK or any other un-marginable stock unless you are a market maker in the stock. It is CLEARLY against NASD rules to short un-marginable stocks. The short interest noted is for MM trading accounts. MM are best off to trade all stocks slightly short, (I used to trade a brokerage firms money ie they gave me their money to trade) furthermore a number of 186k short is insignificant in this stock. Those of you who maintain the big brother is shorting conspiracy are either inexperienced or to in love with your investments to think rationally. This company has problems that will prohibit savy investors from buying at these levels, namely a stucture (holding company/subsidiary) which allows them not to provide full disclosure on Hi Rim. I would not even consider buying a stock - particularly at these prices when I did not know what was happening with the company's money. IMO you are setting yourself up for a fall. If you own a company, would'nt you demand to know what your employees were making, who they were, and what they did with your money? Lets face it if you are a shareholder, you do own a part of this company. IMO lots of better stocks to make money on than this one. Easy money has been made. Perhaps a short term trade for me here and there in the future, but holding this company? Why? I think I have seen your posts on AOL. In the last 3 weeks my portfolio is up 265% - profits locked in and looking for the next move. I am certain I can make more money elsewhere than if I were to buy this hyped up IMO very very questionable company.
