Didn't like Conte's fund raising philosophy and that she should have partnered with a large Pharm. Co. Did say that Conte is the most determined CEO they have ever known. Believes SHMN to have been arrogrant and made mistakes because of it., i.e. partnering & stock dilution. SHMN's EV/5 yr cumulative R & D multiple is dirt cheap at 0.8 vs the industry multiple of 3. That SHMN is reasonably efficient in funding research Also stated that SHMN's scientific team was a "sterling" team Their bottom line recommendation was, "As a speculative buy, I recommend accumulating SHMN on severe weakness to lower your net cost basis." ALL OF THIS WAS BEFORE THE RESULTS OF PHASEIII WERE ANNOUNCED, After the Phase three announcement, Taipan's Hot Line stated, "We see no reason to sell SHMN now" I still have a lot of hope for SHMN and while it may not be as much of a wonder drug as we had hoped . I believe it will be approved.
