Rick and all,
Happy holidays. Hope all is well.
General comments to finish out the year. It was nice to see some support today, moving back over the 2 1/4 mark, and hopefully closing out tax selling.
My primary concerns going into the new year:
The Prometheus group and its 25 million. I believe they have done only one conversion so far, in novemeber, for 10%, at 2.47 per share, a bit over a million shares. I never trust these deals, as when certain groups get involved, it always raises the question of shorting to reduce the price to better conversion prices. I believe the 3 years available to convert started 7/10/98, so the clock ticking isn't all that loud right now. Per ATIS, one of the main concerns for this special january meeting is that the preferred shareholders want to make sure that there would be enough available shares if perchance the price were to plummet and the available funds could buy a s...-load of shares. Otherwise, there aren't even 50 million shares out there yet, so going from 100 to 125 million would be moot. I guess maintaining some support here or even getting some strength in the early part of the year would be a very strong technical indicator as a result of the above.
The positives are numerous beyond this, but I have to run right now, so I'll leave this discussion for later. Amazing how the Yahoo board seems to have people commenting on the breakdown between between S&N and ATIS....not at all the case, fwiw.
