[ALA Modem] They call it their own. Don't know where the components come from.

From ALA Homepage

In order to achieve superior performance at low cost, Alcatel Telecom has chosen to develop its own chip set, called DynaMiTe, implementing DMT and ATM technologies. This strategy has led to a family of highly integrated ADSL modems, achieving performances closely approaching the theoretical limit. Extensive tests have been performed to characterize the modems for a wide series of standard local loops (ANSI loops 1-10 and ETSI loops 1-8).

These tests also take into account the effects of specified numbers of external interferences (e.g. other ADSL, 2B1Q, HDB3, ...). In the field, trials have been conducted to complement the results on standard loops.

Alcatel Telecom is ready to share its ADSL knowledge in helping you evaluate the potential of ADSL on your own network.
