For some reason your post to Chuck reminds me of an old, old piece of poetry supposedly written by Noel Coward (ask your grandfather if you don't know who he was ) The line I'm remembering is as follows:-

It came to pass that someone flung a piece of Lion sh*t at the king, Lion Sh*t for in those days Bull Sh*t was exceeding scarce,
and smote him even unto the right eye,
"Sh*t" said the King , and the whole Court strained, for in those days it was no mean thing to disobey the King.
