I think the chances for a crash tomorrow are slim. For the last few years, market selloffs were motivated by serious foreign problems (Asia) or inflation worries. Unless, we hear overnight that there's been a coup in Japan...or that the Fed is planning on RAISING interest rates by a full basis point at the next meeting, I think we're safe. Plus, a large amount of Wall Street players just aren't around. So the volume will be light. Can't have a crash without lots of volume. FWIW, I think we'll see selling through the day -- and it will get worse as the day comes to a close. That said, it'll be a whole new ballgame if the market gaps DOWN Monday morning. Then, I think we have a 50/50 chance for either a rally or a correction. Despite all the talk of tax selling, for better or worse, there's a heck of a lot of cash ready to go to work next year. Just wish I knew where it was gonna go!
