Basil Regan is a hedge fund manager. His strategy is to buy large positions in turnaround type situations. His long term track record is very good. He's been buying this stock for over a year now. His hedge fund portfolio usually only has 5 or 6 positions. I believe he has over $150 million under management. He takes a very active role in helping turn around the company, generally meeting with management several times a month. He is a patient investor, telling his clients that his typical timeline when he invests with a company is at least 3 years.

Some of his past success stories are GEN and ACF, of which he still has very large positions. He began buying both these stocks in the low single digits, similar to HNV. GEN hit a high of around $35 late last year or early this year before missing earnings, currently at $15. ACF trades around 12 and I believe has been as high as about$18 (split adjusted). Both stocks I believe are great values.

Basil is not in for the quick pop, and if you're patient, this should pay off for you.

One more thought, if you take a close look at when Basil buys large blocks, it usually is around the last day of the month. I wouldn't be suprised if the big spike in volume over the last few days, especially on 12/24 was him. One more thought, end of the year is generally the busiest for the hedge fund community in terms of subscriptions and redemptions. I wouldn't be suprised if Basil has been successful in attracting more funds to manage, and that he will be putting this money to work in HNV, especially on 12/31 if he holds true to form. This last bit of info. is pure speculation on my part.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Unoo
