My experience with the R/3 product since its unveiling has more than its fair share of custom coding problems but those are always related to the heavy hitting applications like SD, MM, or PP just to name a few. These kind of problems in the HR area are few and far between. May be they are for PSFT as well and we are just hearing about a 1 in 100 occurrence. You would know better than I.

I know exactly what you are talking about though. Give me any business application and I will write you an SQL query that can bring your system to its knees. Its got nothing to do with how well your application may be constructed.

… but I believe SAP still does not have a FULLY functional Cdn HR, Benefits and Payroll product.
As of release R/3 4.0B SAP supplies equivalent HR functionality across the board for all major (and many smaller) sized countries. (both public and private sector). -J
