No consumer portable announcement

I'm really glad that Apple broke its policy of secrecy to tell us that they won't be introducing the portable. I'm sure they've noticed as well as us the kind of exuberance and rumor-mongering that goes on prior to these shows and keynote speeches and how they lead to disappointment when they turn out not to be true.

If I am right that the run-up recently has nothing to do with MWSF, then we should see no negative reaction to this news.
