Ausdauer, Are you saying that RIO is using SmartMedia format for its FLASH expansion slot? I am new to FLASH, so I have no idea how different they are. I made the assumption that RIO is using CompactFLASH, because the FLASH card picture on its box has the same type of connection interface as CompactFLASH. What about MMC, would it be competitive to SmartMedia in term of cost? As for mp3 players, I agree with your suggested improvements. Especially the PC software package. I am shocked that software of such bad quality could be shipped. But who can blame them. Diamond just got into the consumer electronics business. Despite all the flaws in the mp3 encoding software, I am enjoying the product. Khan
