Is TMAR a buy at this level? It has a book value of $14.04/share and earnings of $1.76. Zacks average of 7 analyst's estimates for FY 99 is $.53/share resulting in a leading P/E of 7.7. Trailing 12 month P/E is 2.7, per Zacks.

Trico has a net operating margin of 19% vs. the industry average of 7%. The company owns 100 vessels including supply vessels; large capacity platform supply vessels; large anchor handling, towing and supply vessels; crew boats; lift boats; and line handling vessels for which demand may decrease, but will not disappear. TMAR is down 86% on the year. Even if single-digit oil becomes a reality for a short while, isn't TMAR still an attractive take-over candidate?
