2 1/2 Bagger-in-one-daydog,

The size of the float and shares outstanding in HNV should keep it from doing all those crazy gyrations that the vast majority of internuts go through. The real reason I like it is for its MIMBO status. That makes it better suited for those who can't spend all day at their computer, glued to the trade by trade environment. After today's performance I don't think it will do anything drastic like spike up and drop just as fast. It's actually in the retest phase of a MIMBO but from what I've seen so far, it should survive the retest and perform rationally. They're the largest retail catalogue outfit in the country with over 1/4 billion in annual sales and a solid internet strategy. Nothing to sneeze at despite the shares out size.

As I've said to several other people, it's mostly important to maintain a semblance of proper perspective about trading stocks. The lure of the media fish bowl effect on the one or two stocks per day that go berzerk can end up being disastrous to one's overall strategy. In other words, if what one has been doing with stocks has worked well in the past, there's no reason to change horses on account of a temporary sector "diversion". Although it's not a bad idea to allocate a reasonable portion of attention (and cash) to the internet phenomenon, it IS a bad idea to abandon what works in "normal" stocks by chasing every glimmer that flashes across the ticker.

Ok, enough of the soapbox,
Doug R
