Borg Alert! OK, all Microsoft borg-lovers beware . . . the quad-processor SGI Visual Workstation is actually code-named Borg! Hey, is somebody reading this thread? Take a look at this article about SGI's VPC rumor mill: zdnet.com or look at the details of the rumors yourself: 3dluvr.com If SGI can't make money off these items, then I'll eat one. (I've said it before.) However -- I saw the Dell Dimension at 350 mhz with 17 inch monitor and DVD is now in the $1500 range. Time does not stand still. SGI should offer DVD -- think of how a DVD would look on that incredible flat-panel monitor! --JD
