I don't know the details of the website but given the number of items they carry, it wouldn't be something they could put together overnight. And I think management hasn't made it a priority, as they have been distracted by the distribution system problems. More generally, they may also be a bit old fashioned and slow to recognize how electronic shopping could make their catalog business far more efficient. Their business is ideal for the Internet: They sell toys for men, their target is middle to upper income men aged 35-65 -- and guess who uses computers most?
