BEFORE THE BELL - AOL higher in pre-open December 31, 1998 08:36 AM NEW YORK, Dec 31 (Reuters) - Shares of America Online Inc. AOL were trading higher Thursday, the last trading day before replacing retailer, Venator Group Inc.Z , in the Standard & Poor's 500 stock index. AOL traded at 150 a share in pre-open trading on the Instinet electronic trading system from Wednesday's close of 148.
