May & Speh, Inc. Reports First Quarter Operating Results

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- May & Speh, Inc.
(Nasdaq: SPEH) today reported operating results for its first quarter ended December 31, 1996. Revenues for the quarter were $21.2 million, an increase of 32% over the $16.0 million for the same quarter of the previous year. Net income for the first quarter of fiscal 1997 increased 42% to $2.4 million from $1.7 million for the same quarter of fiscal 1996. Earnings per share for the quarter were $.09 based on 27.0 million weighted average shares outstanding, compared to $.08 based on 20.4 million shares for the same quarter of the prior year. Reviewing the quarter, May & Speh's President and Chief Executive Officer, Lawrence J. Speh, said, "We continue to focus on our corporate mission: investing in state-of-the-art technology, recruiting and developing talented employees, and delivering excellent service to our clients as their business partner. We believe this positions May & Speh for continued growth in revenues and earnings."
