With all due respect to Stanford and Harvard- For this company, in this specific market segment at its current life cycle - you want the guy from Caltech. My two DWDM stocks are LU and CIEN. LU is pushing the technical envelope with an army of scientists. CIEN is competing with a very small group of very smart people. Its a classic battle from a management standpoint. Either flood the zone with people with the attendant bureaucracy or attack it with a very small number of very smart people with no bureaucracy. The small group must have a leader with the technical skills in order to have any chance of succeeding.
