>>>PT, I have to respectfully disagree on your conspiracy theory.

Although it's a regrettable incident, and one that I certainly condemn, one incident does not a conspiracy make.

While it's possible that there have been others that have gone undetected, it's also possible that there have not been.<<<

I agree. There is no way of knowing.

>>>I doubt that there is a conspiracy, as there doesn't seem to be anybody who would benefit. You can't short either one of the stocks. The ex-SIMmers derive no benefit from destroying the company - indeed, they still hold a stake and also hope to collect damages in their lawsuit. If they destroy the company, they won't be collecting any damages from a bankrupt company.<<<

Well, first off, they haven't filed a lawsuit against Zulu. And, if you recall from the Wired articles, it was an ex-SIMer contention that the company was not "fit" to run the business which they had created. In order to support this claim, it would be in their interests for the company not to do well. This is what's on record. So are they beyond hanky-panky and completely lily-pure in this? I doubt it.

The only suit against Zulu is ex-SIMer Bob Colvin's and that's for 200K involving a employer/employee contract dispute. It's likely the 200K is an inflated figure as typical in most suits. Also noteworthy in this suit is he also named his ex-SIMer colleagues in the same suit.

>>>My guess is that somebody in Sydney, Australia, doesn't like Pat Hayton - has a personal grudge. (You're welcome ascribe to this person the attributes that you incorrected associate with me in this regard...)

Given that Hayton's from there (Australia, dunno if he's from Sydney), that's not too shocking.<<<

Well, Jon, Zulu has taken over a half-dozen or more companies, fired many employees in the process. There's got to be a lot of disgruntlement out there. Couple this with former business dealings which may have gone south, and one can see why there might exist animosity. But none of this should detract from the current business plan, the players involved, employees and executive management on the current payroll and the hopes for the future of ZULU, ESVS and BFL.

>>>Conspiracy? Naw. One or more individuals pissed at Pat? Likely. Two wrongs don't make a right, but, still, it seems that Pat is reaping what he has sown...<<<

Not necessarily. I've found in my life that folks who can really move and shake things into happening tend to be loved by many and hated by many. It's very rare that a charismatic character comes along and gets complete admiration from everyone.

But the real question, Jon: Why would someone want to resort to fraudulent actions in order to destroy a person or a company? Does this at least show that the stakes are huge in order for someone to take such a risk? It does seem a goal of Zulu's opposition to create a condition whereby no information can be trusted in the theory that by doing this the actions of the company become disrupted. And that pattern exists not only on these threads as evidenced by the massive negative posting, but also by the action of the fraudulent email sent to Disney.

I just hope no one's career has become jeopardized by the irresponsible behavior of the imposter.
