Arqule, Hogan, Gordon, Fitzgerald and Gang, I just want to take a moment to congratulate you for a tremendously successful 1998, you made your shareholders proud. * Your stock performance was stunning, off 80%, one of the ten worst among a 300 biotech universe I follow. * Your 2 promised IND filings didn't happen. * Roche downsized their collaboration. * Monsanto delayed your payments. * Pharmacia dropped the lead cataylsis product. * Key scientists departures. * Gordon announced his exit in July, 5 months later, still no new CEO. Really shrewd to take your time. * No major new big pharma collaborations. So all in all, a great year, keep up the good work.
