I am so deeply moved by all of my brothers and sisters sincere and most precious prayers. It is difficult to read through blurred eyes streaming with tears, but Oh what a joy.
With every post I sense a magnificent closeness to all of you. My heart is filled with joy by every word. I cannot fully express with any eloquent words or phrases, the completeness I experience when I realize just how close our spirits are united in Christ.
Jane you are exactly right when you speak of types of healing services, I must add however, that I have known many a sickly person who did not take that into account, and were healed because of their own intentions and their own faith, and their own individual belief in the mercy of God.
We had a family prayer meeting concerning James 5:13-15. I took the initiative and it was done in Jesus's name. And I say now...It is done.! Thank you Father!!†
As to the service he went to it was a most blessed and sacred Catholic service. No drums, no chorus. Just elders, prayers, oil, blessings, faith, and hymns. The Holy Spirit of God was everywhere....Praise His Holy Name!
And so now we just stand!!
But your warning is a good one Jane. I have also been present at healing services conducted by pure entertainers(business men) who called themselves vessels of God. I have also found though that God will not withhold His mercy from anyone who is there on faith.
The leaders/organizers of such need to beware!
Ps 84:11
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
