Tony, This book defines some new concepts for the technology investor, and is a must-read imho. I picked it up at the San Jose Public Library, and am sure you'll be able to find it, or the audio tape, at your local library. "Gorilla" does not just mean big (as an example, Dell is not a Gorilla - it isn't possible to be one in the box maker sector; they are a King). A Gorilla has control of the standards of the sector, and the result is a start up with new technology is thwarted from selling to a broad customer base of the sector. What the Gorilla does is let the start up get some degree of acceptance from Pioneer customers, and then acquire them or come out with their own version. When the Gorilla begins to offer the new technology, the market opens up to the new concept.

Sorry if I didn't say this exactly right. I'd highly recommend you get Moore's words directly from Moore.

Frank
