Ok I understand now.

In my mind it was a gain originated on the short side and caused by falling stock prices - regardless of which it comes from the short or the box. The economical gain did not come before BFLY crashed down (nicely, as here predicted earlier!)

The Warrants traded downto 3 hmm left much money on the table, should have spiralled my short position instead of covering it. But you can never go bankrupt taking gains in the coffers.

And another "warrant jack" in the making, check out RMII/RMIIW. They had their big run already and dropped big since so I expect a sort of minor rebound the next days. Both the stock and the warrant are easily borrowable.

Greetings and a good 1999!

C.
