Happy New Year everyone... ________________________ "I've learned four lessons, or things to do, from the 1994-to-1998 bull market.," said Robert Stovall, president of Stovall/21st Advisers.
"You buy good stocks on the dips and don't pull out of the market and wait for it to go down and lay there the way it used to.
Secondly, go with the flow. Momentum and volatility are with us and have been for the last two years. Momentum is your friend.
"Third, stay with the blue-chip stocks, the leaders of whatever groups are popular with investors," Stovall advised.
"Finally, shake off the conservative valuation mantra and pay up for earnings growth." ________________________________
Here's to a better 1999. Since most of us are from "oil" roots, here's to a better oil market in 1999, too. |
