RYOCX,

Impressive returns but at 25,000 initial fee, maybe not for everyone. biz.yahoo.com

Also it's not really an index fund, classified as Aggressive Growth
and is actively managed,

Even Rydex OTC gets a "high" risk rating from the Morningstar Mutual Funds service. Morningstar analyst Mark Wright compared it to a "gambling parlor."

"Like other Rydex funds," Wright wrote, "this offering was designed with one type of investor in mind: The market timer. The fund is supposed to track the Nasdaq 100. This index's massive technology bias and its concentration in only a few big stocks make it an ideal way for short-term traders to bet on the large-cap area of the tech market."

One problem with this, says Wright, is that a market-timing strategy is difficult, if not impossible, to practice with any consistent success. "Cash often flows in and out of the fund at the wrong times," he observes.

But what the heck, no guts no glory
