Scott, I have just received Power Investor from Investors Alliance. I am a beginner in TA and I am trying learn something from using such a program. The current version can download daily updates through a modem. For me, with a direct Internet connection, it is particularly difficult to do. The softwares comes with a "com port -> tcpip" shareware which doesn't work at all. The program can also scan through the database to given a set of fundamental criteria. This process is quite slow. For my pentium 133 with 32Mb RAM, a query with two or three conditions takes about 30 seconds to a minute to finish. It does have a lot of historial data available on the CDROM. I'll post again when I find out more about the program. Tom
