Y2K Hint for VCR's

I saw a hint on TV a couple of days ago that if your VCR, etc. is not Y2K compatible and you can set its year to 1972, this is a way around the problem as the days of the week and year agree with the year 2000.

Just a possible way of delaying repairing / replacing some expensive personal appliances.
