You know, I get that A/D/U from several sources because I just remembered I also use it in my Neural Net models. That data is provided by either Pinnacle or Reuters, I don't recall which.

I should check to see what they post. Pinnacle's data is supposed to be perhaps the cleanest available.

But the real twist that bugs me is the fact that the NYSE posts 500 issues less. I recall speaking with people who knew the right answer perhaps a year or two ago and I remember they said 2800 or 2900, now 3000 seems right when one takes into account the net addition of issues.

Why do sources like PC Quote and Yahoo have 500 more issues? Like you say, it does not mean much in the long run, I guess but the 500 extra data points each day is a significant number.
