Ballard Power (BLDCF) is one of the most exciting companies in a long time. Amazingly it seems to be coming into buy range. I'll probably make it one of my picks. Apparently DaimlerChrysler is now focusing on methanol rather than fuel cells... this becomes a whole field for speculation rather than rational investing ... I'd say take advantage of a sliding Ballard share price to pick up shares in a proven winner.

We should think of a cool title for our picks thread when we post it. I was trying to come up with a pun involving the name Dale that would attract the ladies to the thread... something like "BlueChippenDale's 1999 Private Performers" but as you can see my muse still hasn't gotten off the sofa today.

Why don't we pledge to have 5 stocks each or a list of "x" number of stocks and then just leave the portfolio alone to see how the stocks perform in 1999?
