It attempts to duplicate the investment performance of the S&P Index by owning all of the 500 stocks contained in the Index,appropriately weighted.
Yeah, Frank, it has always been my understanding that the funds made their money off "the daily grind", the 2% to 5% fees they charge their customers every year for running the fund.
