Happy New Year '99 to All Millionaires, MLRE stockholders, and Millionaire Wannabes (hey I resemble that remark) on this fun and informative tread (tread as we say at Toidy Toid 'n Toid NooYAWK)!
John, hope I was included among others in your IT reference...seems to me there's a statistical anomaly here - an abundance of having-IT MLRE players! Could it be that a stock like MLRE attracts those who, not only having done the obsessive & painful left-brainer DD that precedes the call to the broker, like the name of MLRE because it sounds like A LUCKY HORSE! To buy a few more shares of this in the last minutes of the '98 market gave me so much delight! There's just no excuse for not squeezing every drop of delicious fun from one's life as is possible, when one is not bereft. Yes, Money can buy More Money but most important, Money Can Fund The Fun! Yet it won't give a person the ability to have and create fun! That only comes from freedom, happiness, and love. There have been times in my life I have lost my lightheartedness for a spell, due to events at the time (death of loved ones, etc.). Each time, I can remember distinctly the moment "my old self" came back, and as always, trueself returned with unexpected and powerful bellylaughs from out of the blue!
We are all so blessed to have the opportunity to make money by our wits in investing! So many folks out there lack the necessary tools, (and I'm not talking about just the principal)... I'm proud to count some of these folks among my best friends, with whom I always have a great time and would trust with my very life. I'm sure everyone on here can say the same is true with yourselves. Just want to say - It's so nice to find a board like this one.
Best To All In '99,
Joana
