Why don't you read (and heed, up to you) the opinions or reports on the Y2K effect that are available here. Those would be my and Barry's posts of today. There have also been other prior posts saying efforts to reach Y2K compliance would produce an increase, and a significant one but no numbers given that I've seen, in computer hardware sales now and going forward for a while. Naturally, Intel participates in most of the computer sales at the PC level, since companies rarely buy from any other x86 vendor. BTW, I can't emphasize enough the value of the opinions of Lou Marcocchio of Gartner Group, and he said today sales of PCs and storage are up due to Y2K.
