Tom, I am a sinister character. I am a miner by education and trade. I can use the following letters behind my name: BS mining engineering, MS mineral engineering, PE mining engineering and AIME. I have also worked for the state of New Mexico in the past. Platinum is the biggest joke going in Arizona and New Mexico.

Any mining operation is required by law to register with the state it is in and to report all production to the (former) US bureau of mines, now geolocial survey. This information is not covered by the freedom of information act but is released to the states. I have checked today with both New Mexico and Arizona and neither have any statistics for platinum production. I am not into stocks and don't pretend to understand a lot of the lingo used on this thread.

I have been on the net for about a month and have been pursuing my passion which is mining. I happened onto this site. I laughed for a long time when I started reading about platinum in Az.

As I said I worked for NM and also wrote an advise column in a mining newspaper to prospectors. During that time I investigated 3 platinum operations in New Mexico. Two have since closed with the SEC looking for the principals. The third is still going. My NM State associates have told me many more stories. I have heard it all from a large cartel controls platinum and that is why it has to be secret to "this is special platinum, only we know how to get it out."

I have also seen companies as prestigious as Westinghouse get sucked into these ventures. You can hire any mine consultant and report what ever you wish about them, as long as you pay them. You can also contact the Arizona Department of Mines and Minerals as I did today and ask them about platinum occurences. There number is 602-255-3795. They welcome callers. Keep in mind that they are in the business of promoting mining in AZ, this is there job security.

As for me, I manage an industrial mineral operation which employs 43 people and ships over 200,000 tons of product per year. This thread is a hobby for me, I remember my days investigating platinum operations. I have not collected a sample yet with any platinum. Keep one thing in mind, someone will make money from this stock. However it will not be because they sold any platinum.

Good luck!!!!!
