New Age is a term that has a very wide meaning these days. it is used in all sorts of ways with all sorts of connotations.
for myself, I have never implied that jews or christians are enslaved by their thoughts, religions, or anything else. I have never accused anyone of belonging to a cult.
I have never read the books he mentions, but would be happy to reccomend some to anyone who is interested:-)
I do not believe that the Bible, either new or old testament, is the direct word of God. their is to much in their that does not seem to come from god, or be "godly", IMO. that does not mean that I dont think you shouldn't believe as you do, if it holds meaning for you, and brings you what you desire.(peace, security, meaning, etc.)
