Mark,
"God, according to your beiefs, is the epitome of unconditional love(my belief also) and infinite wisdom. He is/should be the greatest teacher/motivator/ rehabilitator, etc. To teach through love should not be beyond the scope of his ability. If not, how can we explain any less than to perform to the best of his ability for everyone? "
You made a leap here that I am not prepared to make.
But first, I want to narrow one thing down. Are you against God punishing at all, during life and after it, or just after it? Do you want to suppose God should never punish, ever or just at judgement time??
Next your leap, are you presupposing that if someone punishes someone they do not love them? Because if you are, you couldn't be more wrong. I will not even go into depth on this one, just think about it! I will explore it deeper if we need to. Let me know......
