Tim,

The individual investor has a huge advantage over everyone else in this business. And yes it is a business. We have three things going for us: the internet, availability of real time quotes and CNBC. This gives the small investor (1000 shares or less) a very large jump on the institutions and money managers.

One of the great myths of Wall Street is that the "market is efficient" meaning that all possible information is already priced in the stock. Then, pray tell, why does DELL ever move at all. There cannot be any information that is not known about that company and yet a seller thinks it is going lower and a buyer thinks it is going higher. So, maybe the "market" is efficient but the people that buy and sell are not efficient.

That is why we can have a very nice 1999! We can move quicker and with more precision than anyone else with the tools we now have at our disposal. I'm really excited about the coming few months.

By sharing some informative stock picks with rational thoughts and ideas we can all make a little money together.
